COUNSELLING & THERAPEUTIC COACHING

A holistic approach to working with young people, families and staff in schools

How Can We Support Schools?

Richmond Counselling & Coaching offers a tailored, evidence-based therapeutic coaching package designed to meet the diverse and complex emotional wellbeing needs of young people in schools. Our unique approach stems from both in-depth observation and hands-on experience, addressing gaps where traditional school-based therapeutic models have often struggled to deliver lasting impact.

Our therapist coaches are committed to making every intervention a positive, growth-focused experience while maintaining a strong therapeutic foundation. By collaborating closely with schools and agencies, we ensure that our support is holistic, transparent, and student centered.

Our approach is grounded in the belief that every young person has the inner resources to heal, and our role is to guide and nurture that potential.

OUR APPROACH

Once we’ve collaborated with the school’s lead to identify the student’s specific needs, we begin with an initial assessment of the young person. This assessment shapes the direction and goals of the therapeutic process. At Richmond Counselling & Coaching, we reject the idea of a one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, we leverage a diverse range of techniques, enabling a personalised experience that maximises engagement and impact.

Our counselling & therapeutic coaching is adaptable and includes methods from Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Psychoanalytic Developmental Psychology, Cognitive Hypnotherapy, coaching, mindfulness, as well as Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy. This holistic approach allows us to respond to the unique needs of each student. We embrace their individuality, ensuring our model fits them—not the other way around.

Testimonials

I highly recommend Daniela for coaching and therapy. She’s understanding, insightful, and great with parents, teens, and young adults. She helped me improve drastically over the past year, giving me motivation and a reason to care for myself. Daniela is fun to talk to but also knows when to be serious. She’s especially helpful with family and relationship issues. Thank you, Daniela!

DATA PROTECTION & CONFIDENTIALITY

At Richmond Counselling & Coaching, we prioritise data protection and confidentiality, adhering to GDPR and safeguarding policies. We ensure informed consent and protect student privacy while sharing relevant themes and goals for holistic care. This collaborative approach empowers young people to take ownership of their wellbeing and access additional resources, enhancing their engagement in learning.

We recognise that traditional methods may lead students to focus too much on their challenges, hindering progress. To prevent this, we emphasise strategies that avoid reliance on difficulties and instead foster empowerment and resilience, helping students overcome obstacles and grow with confidence and independence.
All coaches are thoroughly vetted, holding enhanced DBS checks, Level 1 safeguarding training, and working strictly within the safeguarding guidelines of the school and relevant authorities, ensuring the safety and well-being of every young person.
